Personal problems? Vent them in online discussions
|
There are times when we don’t want
to socialize and want to be left alone. Talking about what’s bothering
you can make you feel better. But many will not want to talk about their
personal problems with friends, family or acquaintances. At such times, online discussions help. We can find solutions through discussions.
Most important of all, we get a listener, which is all we need to release
our pent up feelings.
Be it about your love life, personal
problems, relationships, pain or philosophy, a discussion network helps. People with similar experiences share
their opinions, and knowing that you are not the only one facing a problem
can actually make you feel better.

Costly buy? Try an Opinion Poll
|
Planning to buy a plasma TV and confused
which brand to go for? There are numerous advertisements thronging the
TV channels. As you get to the store, sales people push you to the most
expensive brands or the ones they’re overstocked on. If you want the
opinion of real consumers, check out the online
discussions, blogs or consumer
reviews.
Certain sites are dedicated to product
reviews. A discussion
forum is a good place to
conduct an opinion
poll to learn which brand’s
the best. The best part about online discussion forums is that they
reflect the wisdom of the crowds.

Perception of Beauty
|
Beauty may be skin deep or a representation
of the golden ratio (1:1.618) found in most things in nature. But what
matters most is the way people perceive beauty. There have been many discussion topics on what beauty really is. While models aim
to be size 0, netizens in discussion
forum sites argue that
being skinny doesn’t necessarily signify beauty.
A lot of people still vouch for a beautiful
mind rather than a beautiful face. Opinion
poll on such beauty issues
can be used to study perceptions. Marketing agencies can benefit from
these social opinions and pitch their products accordingly. A happy
person is definitely a beautiful person and there’d be many takers
for this beauty tip.
